Universal Insurance Plc. Employer’s Liability Insurance product covers that liability of an employer that is not covered under the statutory employee compensation administered by Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF).

This policy covers your legal liability for Bodily Injury to your employee(s) under the Employee Compensation Act 2010 and legal expenses for such claims, including reasonable legal expenses arising in the cause of their employment with your organisation during the period of insurance.

The limit of indemnity is unlimited, however it is determined by the employee’s level of income.

To enable us give quotation, the following information will be required:

  • Occupation of the proposer

  • Number and occupations of employees to be covered

  • Estimated annual earnings of such category of employees to be covered

It is suggested that all employees irrespective of their designation be included.
